Adrian Albert Verbrugge

Adrian A. Verbrugge, 85, of Humboldt, passed away January 14, 2017 at the Humboldt Care Center North. Private family graveside services will be held in Union Cemetery, Humboldt. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt is assisting the family.
Adrian Albert Verbrugge, the son of Dan and Mae (Storms) Verbrugge, was born November 10, 1931 at his grandparents home in Humboldt and was raised on the family farm in Beaver Township, Humboldt County. He received his education in Dakota City and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1950. Following his graduation, Adrian attended junior college in Eagle Grove. Adrian suffered from poor vision all of his life. He made his home in Des Moines where he was involved with the Iowa Commission for the Blind. He later moved to Omaha where he was employed by McCurdy Funeral Home until his retirement. In February of 2015, Adrian returned to Humboldt and became a resident of the Humboldt Care Center North. He passed away there on the morning of January 14, 2017 at the age of 85.
Adrian is survived by his brothers, Bill Verbrugge of Humboldt and Robert (Ruth) Verbrugge of Eau Claire, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gene and Durand Verbrugge.
