Alise J. Sorensen, 89 of Humboldt, passed away on Wednesday evening, November 18, 2020 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.
He was born July 12, 1931 in Fort Dodge, the son of Alise and Minnie M. (Gilliand) Sorensen. He grew up and was educated in Humboldt. Alise was united in marriage to Edith Becker and the union lasted for over 50 years until her death. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in Korea. Alise was a craftsman from an early age and could weld and make most anything. He was employed by Corn Belt Power for many years. Following the death of Edith, he married Virginia Wood on December 4, 2004. He was a thinker, loved reading, chocolate, eating and snacking, fishing and watching old western movies.
He is survived by his children Deborah (Bill) Kiley of Kalispell, Montana and Bart Sorensen of Humboldt, his grandchildren Allison, Christopher, Andy, Sam, Joe, James, Megan, Carrie, Josie, Hannah, LaToya & Reino, his great-grandchildren Elara, Isaiah, Jordyn, Mia, Georgia, Charlotte, Elijah, Jaydon, Gage, Carter, Barrett and Owen and his brother David (Shari) Sorensen of Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, Edith & Virginia, son Arvin, daughter Linda and his brother Marvin.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 23rd from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service both at Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt. Masks are required. Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery.
