Andrew J. Hettinger

Andrew J. Hettinger, 52, of Huxley, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.
He was born October 18, 1969 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of Jerald Alan and Cheryl Elaine (Becker) Hettinger. He moved with his family at an early age to Colorado where he was raised and educated. On August 22, 1998 he was united in marriage to Rebecca Griffin. The couple made their home in Colorado Springs and later Missouri before returning to Colorado. Andrew graduated from Colorado Christian University where he earned his degree. He was currently employed as a systems analyst for Kreg Tool Company. Andrew loved his family and spending time with his children, making them feel special. He enjoyed photography, the outdoors, camping, fishing, biking, enjoyed NASCAR and traveling.


He is survived by his wife Rebecca, his daughter Rachel and his son Nathan all of Huxley, his father Jerald of Colorado Springs, his sister Jennifer (Matt) Baker of Boone, Colorado, his brother Chris (Kristi) Hettinger of San Antonio, his nieces Ellen and Natalya and his nephews Luke and Jacob. He was preceded in death by his mother Cheryl.


Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 10th and visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service, all at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt. Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery, Humboldt. www.masonlindhart.com
