Andrew Stoebe, 30, of Humboldt, passed away on May 13th, 2018 at the Paula Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 16th, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Humboldt Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Shonda Deranleau officiating. Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Andrew Gregory Stoebe was born July 11, 1987 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was raised in Humboldt and baptized in the Humboldt Congregational UCC. He attended elementary and secondary school in Humboldt, graduating from Humboldt High School in 2006. Thereafter, he lived with his parents until 2011 when he began living at a Westfork (now Lifeworks) residential facility in Humboldt.
Andrew enjoyed life and sought to receive happiness out of every minute lived. He is proof that an individual can achieve a satisfying and happy existence from t he little things in life. A trip to the family vacation cottage, a boat ride, a walk in the park and a trip to a county fair were among his most cherished activities. He has shown to all that despite daunting challenges from physical and intellectual compromises, one can have a happy, fulfilling life.
He is survived by his parents, Gregory and Denise Stoebe of Humboldt; aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and Kurt Stoebe; cousins, John and Michael Stoebe; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harlyn and Nola Stoebe and Donald and Dorothy Baker.
