Anna M. Larson, 92, of Bode, passed away December 21, 2011 at the Humboldt Care Center North.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Bode. Interment will be in St. Olaf Cemetery, Bode.  Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Anna is survived by her children, Marcia (Larry) Lenning of Humboldt and Randall (Marybeth) Larson of Solon, Iowa; grandchildren, Brenda (Jerry) Kramer, Aaron (Diane) Lenning, Jarod Lenning, Eric (Kristen) Larson, Nicole (Chris) Learn, Kristina (Kevin) Tracy, and Michael Larson; and great grandchildren, Brittny Kramer, Megan Kramer, Jacob Lenning, Christopher Lenning, Kendall Larson, Allison Larson, Isabella Learn, and Elizabeth Learn.
Anna Mildred Enger, the daughter of Sigvald M. and Hilda Matilda (Oines) Enger, was born April 7, 1919 near Ottosen, Iowa.  She received her education at Maple Lawn School and Graduated from Bode High School in 1936.   Following her education, Anna helped area families with domestic work.  On December 11, 1937, she was united in marriage to Ralph Larson at St. Olaf Lutheran Church Parsonage in Bode.  The couple made their home at Bode where Anna worked as a cook for the school.  In 1952, the couple bought their farm near Plover and Anna was employed as the cook at a restaurant in Pocahontas working alongside her daughter, Marcia.  In 1973, Ralph and Anna returned to Bode and in January of 2008, they became residents of the Humboldt Care Center North.  Mr. Larson passed away in February of 2008.

Anna was a long time member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.  She and Ralph enjoyed dancing and card playing.  She loved to quilt and will be remembered as an excellent cook.
