Audrey Baumgartner, 88, of Humboldt, passed away May 28, 2008 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt with the Rev. Jan Burnett officiating. Interment will be in the LuVerne Cemetery, LuVerne. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Audrey is survived by her sons, Larry (Marian) Rugg of Belmond, IA, James Rugg of Humboldt; daughters, Nancy (Larry) Hedberg of Rockford, IL, Linda (William) Cork of Denver, NC, Cynthia Lewis (William Schray) of Medina, OH, and Vicki Loomis of Burbank, SD; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor; and sisters, Carol Olson and Gladys Priebe.
Audrey Rinehart, the daughter of Glen and Myrtle (Moon) Rinehart, was born July 10, 1919 at Laurens, Iowa. She attended school at Laurens and Britt, Iowa. She graduated from Woden High School in 1936. Following her education, Audrey worked as a nanny for several years in Mason City. On February 6, 1940, she married Lynn Rugg and the couple farmed in the Mason City area. The marriage was later dissolved. On July 10, 1960, she married Victor Baumgartner at LuVerne, Iowa. Mr. Baumgartner passed away in 1963.
Audrey was employed in several offices and as a teacher’s assistant in the LuVerne School district for 20 years.
