Betty Jane (Hinrichs) Pisel, entered into eternal rest on Saturday morning, August 25, 2018. Our thanks to the North Care Center, Unity Point Palliative Care, Hospice and Humboldt County Memorial Hospital for their compassion and attentiveness in this difficult transition.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Zola, her parents, Eimo and Alice (Powers) Hinrichs and two sisters, Beverly Wallace and Lorraine Dillion. She leaves behind her children, Rebecca (Steve) Klopfenstein, four grandchildren, Paul Anthony, Tonia, Kelly and Kyler and eight great-grandchildren; Zoe (Richard) Warner, four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Christopher and Susanna and six great-grandchildren; Kirk (Jolene) Pisel, one grandchild, Lacy and one great-grandchild. Two sisters, Vivian Agnitsch and (Claudia) Joan Johnson, cousins, nephews, nieces and other relatives.
Betty was born at home on April 27, 1929 and lived her entire life in the Pioneer, Gilmore City and Humboldt area. She was a devoted and involved farm wife, 4-H leader, church member/secretary, mother and grandmother. Though we are grateful her suffering is over, her love and prayers for her family will be sorely missed; we grieve, but not as those who have no hope.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. -10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31st at the First Lutheran Church in Gilmore City. Private burial will take place in the Hope Cemetery near the Pisel Century Farm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice, the North Care Center of Humboldt or the Humboldt County Fair. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences can be directed to
