Beverly J. Solbeck, 80 of Humboldt, passed away on Friday evening, November 2, 2018 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.
She was born June 4, 1938 in Bode, Iowa, the daughter of Ommund Leland and Beulah Pearle (Davis) Pederson. She graduated from the last class of the Bode Consolidated School before it became Twin Rivers. Beverly was united in marriage to Robert George Solbeck on May 29, 1955 in Humboldt. The couple farmed on the Solbeck Family Farm for 35 years. She worked in the medical field for over 25 years as a nurses aide, ward clerk and in medical records. She also served as a volunteer for hospice. She enjoyed gardening, reading and other nonsensical things. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time with family. She was a member of the Humboldt Hospital Auxiliary, Historical Society, Genealogical Society and the Humboldt Rifle and Pistol Club.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Brad) Ramaeker and Kathy (Ray) Saathoff both of Humboldt and Teresa Solbeck of Rolfe, her grandchildren, Jenny (Troy) Kirchhoff, Jason (Brianne) Haukoos, Ryan (KyAnne Wardell) Swanson, Travis (Liz) Swanson, Matt (Aimee) Saathoff, Jacque (Garrett Larson) Drefke, Jamie (Ethan Wirtz) Stewart and Brent (Shelby) Stewart, several great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, daughter, Deb Haukoos, grandson, Josh Schneider, granddaughter, Amy Swanson, great-granddaughter, Macy Stewart, her brothers, Vernon Pederson and Davis Hanson and her sisters, Sandy Carmichael and Shirley Windsor.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 7th at Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt.
