Blanche E. Wilson, 103, of Humboldt, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in Humboldt.
She was born July 20, 1919 in New England, North Dakota, the daughter of Martin and Anna (Jacobson) Kleve. In 1920 her family moved to the Renwick area. She graduated from Vernon School in 1936. She was united in marriage to Melville Wilson on October 15, 1940 in Eagle Grove. They made their home on the Floyd Lane farm until moving to Humboldt in the early 1940’s. Blanche was a homemaker until her boys were older and then worked at Anthony’s Clothing Store and later for the Humboldt Public School Administrative Office. She was an active member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Following Mel’s retirement, they enjoyed traveling and visiting relatives across the country.
She is survived by her sons Darryl (Sue) Wilson of Humboldt, Mark Wilson of Fremont, Nebraska and Brian (Margie) Wilson of Arvada, Colorado, her grandchildren Jennifer (Jared) McCain and Jeff Wilson and her great-grandson Connor. She was preceded in death by her husband Mel, sisters Anna Kleve and Mabel Lerdal and her brother Jean Kleve.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 14th with visitation after 1:00 p.m. at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt. Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery.
