Catherine Lembcke, 98, formerly of Humboldt, passed away June 21, 2012 at Mesa, AZ. Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Cemetery in Corinth Township. Visitation will be an hour prior to the services at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt.
Catherine Sheldon was born April 4, 1914 at Badger, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in the Badger Lutheran Church and attended country schools near Badger. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School and attended Fort Dodge Community College. In 1939, she was united in marriage to Hebert Lembcke and the couple made their home at Freemont, Nebraska. In 1940, they moved to California where Herb was stationed with the United States Army Air Corps. In 1961, they moved to Humboldt.
Mr. Lembcke passed away in October of 1994 and Catherine continued to maintain her home in Humboldt until moving to Mesa, Arizona in 2005.
Catherine was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and an over 50-year member of Eastern Star.
