Charlotte Ann Marvin, 86, of Humboldt, passed away Thursday, August 08, 2019 to her place in Heaven to join her husband Robert.
Charlotte Ann (Reasland) Marvin, the daughter of Ernest A and Nellie Mae Reasland was born on Friday, January 13, 1933 in West Union, Iowa. She lived in Osage, Iowa, Mitchell, Iowa where she started school, she would walk one mile to school daily. She worked in a restaurant and a grocery store where she met her husband Robert (Whitey) Marvin. They married on September 25, 1949 and had moved ten times before landing in Humboldt.
Charlotte was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ. She was on a bowling team for many years. She was active in card clubs, and genealogy. She enjoyed the time with her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked at Rexal Drug for many years and was the bookkeeper for Whitey’s Body Shop.
Charlotte is survived by her five children: Margaret Hollingshead of Sioux City, Dan (Jamie) Marvin of Perry, Terry (Robin) Marvin of St. Paul Park, MN, Kris (Sue) Marvin of Humboldt, and Wendy (Tom) Froh of Dakota City, 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 16 siblings, a great-granddaughter, and her son-in-law Donald Hollingshead.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home on Sunday, August 11. Funeral services will be held at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Humboldt on Monday, August 12 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Indian Mound Cemetery, following the interment the Marvin family will greet friends and relatives for lunch in the fellowship hall of the church.
