Cynthia L. "Cindy" Enyart

February 27, 1954 — July 29, 2024

Formerly of Bode

Cynthia (Cindy) Lee Enyart, age 70, of Buckeye, Arizona, passed away on Monday July 29, 2024, surrounded by her family at Abrazo West Medical Center.

Cindy was preceded in death by her beloved parents Warren and Elsie Hankins, and sister Linda Kleist (Dale). Cindy is survived by her devoted husband Earl of 48 years, her daughters Alexis Shields (Stan), Ashlee Schwarzbauer (Craig), her grandchildren Jazmin and Jayce. She is also survived by her sister Becky Lichtenhagen (Rich), brother Ron Hankins (Jim Pech), niece Kelli Woehler (Tim), their 3 children (Whitney, Cole and Bailey), and nephew Kirk Kleist (Brean), their 2 children (Kennedy and Makullen), as well as a large extended family and a community of friends.

Born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on February 27, 1954, Cindy was raised in Bode, Iowa, where she graduated from high school. Cindy went on and later graduated from Humboldt Institute in Minneapolis. After marrying Earl she worked at Northwest/Delta Airlines for 34 years, retiring in 2012.

Cindy was very active in women’s softball leagues, where she made many longtime friends. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother, helping support her daughters in many lifelong ventures. She enjoyed traveling and crocheting, making countless baby blankets and donating them to charities.

After retiring to Arizona with her beloved husband in 2014, her deep commitment to building relationships enabled her to become the friend and neighbor many depended on. Always the eternal optimist, her enthusiasm and giving spirit brightened every gathering at Sundance Adult Village. Her cooking and baking talents made her and Earl’s home always welcome to neighborhood friends where many holiday celebrations were held.

Cindy was always thoughtful, giving more of herself to those around her than she took, and her absence will be felt by all those fortunate enough to have been impacted by her life.

A private service for family and close friends has been planned in Iowa at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service followed by burial in Union Cemetery, Humboldt. www.masonlindhart.com
