Dale “Rags” Reigelsberger, 64, of Humboldt, Passed away April 30, 2015 at North Iowa Hospice in Mason City following a quick but courageous battle with cancer. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. James Tigges will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Humboldt. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt including a parish scripture service at 7 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus rosary. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Humboldt.
Dale F. Reigelsberger, the son of Harold and Jean (Reis) Reigelsberger, was born March 30, 1951 at Fort Dodge, Iowa. The family made their home in Pocahontas County until moving to Humboldt County where he graduated from Humboldt High School. Dale then attended Iowa Central Community College and served in the Iowa National Guard.
Dale was united in marriage to Linda Anderson on November 20, 1976 and the marriage was later dissolved. Dale was a “jack of all trades" and could do anything but his primary occupations were driving semi and farming the family farm with his dad and brother.
Dale was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus where he achieved 4th Degree honors. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren, figure eight and thunder truck racing, sky diving, and farming the land. He was a friend to everyone he met and a father figure to many.
Dale is survived by his children, Alanna (John) Warren of Bradgate, Leo (Lynette) Reigelsberger of Gilmore City, and Kayla (Joe) Halsrud of Dayton; grandchildren, Ashley and Kaiden Warren, Kristopher Parle, Emma, Natalie, and Lukas Reigelsberger, and Jaxson Halsrud; sisters, Delores (George) Pomeroy of Dakota City and Carolyn Morgan of Edina, MN; 7 nieces and nephews; and uncle, Wayne (Imelda) Reigelsberger of Brunswick, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Reigelsberger; sister, Mary Ann Ryan; and infant son, William Reigelsberger.
