Dean J. E. Nemechek of Humboldt passed away at his home. Funeral Services will be Saturday July 9, 2011 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt the Reverend Aaron Flateau officiating. Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Friday July 8 at the funeral home.
Dean John Edward Nemechek was born March 22, 1971 to Marshall and Susanna (Keener) Nemechek at Plattsburg Air Force Base New York; the second of two children born to them. As a child he lived at Plattsburg and Beale Air Force Base in California before his family moved to Lehigh in 1977 before settling in Humboldt in 1979. He was educated through the 10th grade and later earned his GED. In 1979 he married Tonya Delger at the Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt; they later divorced. He lived in Belmond, Clarion, and the Marshalltown area before settling in Humboldt where he lived the rest of his life. Dean worked as a welder and had several other types of jobs.
Dean enjoyed fishing, watching television, drawing, assembling models, and was a big fan of AC/DC. His favorite movie was “The bad News Bears”, and he watched it frequently. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was very faithful in attending to worship.
Surviving Dean are his parents Dean and Susanna Nemechek of Humboldt; daughters Katren Delger and Krystal Nemechek of Des Moines; granddaughters Kdon, Tristessa, and Alexandra; brother Kenneth Nemechek of Kincaid, Illinois; and Grandmother Daisy Nemechek of Garwin. Dean is preceded in death by three grandparents, son Clayton, and grandson Zeke.
