Don W. Jensen, the son of Hans and Johanna (Beck) Jensen, was born June 29, 1929 on a farm near Rutland.  He attended school at Rutland and Graduated from Humboldt High School.  Don Enlisted into the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Guam.  Following his honorable discharge, he returned home and attended Iowa State University where he received his degree.  He was united in marriage to Jean Bagenstos and the couple made their home in Humboldt where Don owned and operated his businesses.  He along with Russ Johnson established Johnson-Jensen Construction.  He also built and owned the Duseyberger restaurant in Humboldt.  Don was also involved in many real estate developments in Humboldt.

He had many interests including his extensive art, coin, and stamp collections and was an antique car collector and enthusiast.  Don also served on the board of the Higgins Museum of Money in Okoboji.

He is survived by his children, Walter Jensen of Humboldt and Susan Jensen of Orange County, CA; his grandchildren, Barry and Jordan Jensen; and his former wife, Jean.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant son, Barry.
