Donald E. Logue, 87, of Humboldt, passed away on Sunday morning, February 10, 2019, at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 1, 1931 in Livermore. He grew up in Livermore and graduated from Livermore High School in 1948. Following graduation, he worked with his family at the Livermore Oil Company. He was united in marriage to Doris E. Parsons on October 8, 1950 in Humboldt. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1952 and the couple lived in Biloxi, Mississippi and later Alaska for a time. Following his discharge, they returned to Livermore where they made their home and later in Humboldt. He worked in Fort Dodge as an oil distributor and later owned and operated Texaco stations in Humboldt and Fort Dodge. He enjoyed golf, playing cards and loved people.
He is survived by his wife, Doris of Humboldt, children, Diane, (Gary) Westphal of Ankeny, Donald E. Logue II of Scottsdale, Arizona, his grandchildren, Brooke (Nate) Gould, Michael Westphal, Alexandra Logue and Thomas Logue, his great-grandson, Daniel Gould and his sister, JoAnn (Norm) Dull of Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Julie Ann, his sisters, Charlotte, Lois and Beverly and his brother, Keith.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, February, 13th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Burial with military honors by the Sathers-Odgaard American Legion will be in Union Cemetery.
