Donna May Carman, 81, of Spencer formerly of Humboldt, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Spencer Hospital.
She was born June 9, 1938 in rural Badger, Iowa, the daughter of George and Elsie (Zabel) Grebner. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1956. Donna was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dale Carman on April 7, 1962 in Humboldt. The couple made their home on a farm near Pioneer where she worked for the Humboldt Co. ASCS office and later she worked for Blakestad’s Drug Store for many years. Donna was very proud of her four granddaughters. She loved to garden and was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband Dale, her daughters, Diane (Pat) Burke, Barb (Doug) Benjamin, son, David Carman, granddaughters, Brianne, Riley, Kayla and Molly. She is also survived by her brothers, Larry Grebner, Leo (Linda) Grebner, sisters-in law, Doris Troxel, Dorothy Christensen, Mary Ann Carman, brothers-in law, Gerald (Marcia) Carman, Eugene (Judy) Carman. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Betty Vought, brother Marvin Grebner, sisters-in-law Ione Grebner, Donna Grebner, Jean Ahart, brothers-in-law John Vought, Stan Troxel, Arvin Christensen, Bill Ahart and Virgil Carman.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 24th from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Humboldt.
