Donna G. Hull

Donna G. Hull, 81, of Humboldt, passed away August 21, 2010 at the Humboldt Care Center South.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Humboldt with the Rev. Linda Bigler officiating.  Interment will be in Indian Mound Cemetery, Humboldt.  Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Church.  The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt is in charge of arrangements.
Donna is survived by her son, Mark of St. Paul, Minnesota; granddaughter, Jenna Leigh Hull of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister, Lois Johnson of Conroe, Texas; and brother, William Ressler of Fergus Falls, Minnesota.  She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marilyn Hull; and son Thomas Hull.
Donna Gail Ressler, the daughter of Floyd and Rose (Schultz) Ressler, was born September 19, 1928 at Greene, Iowa.  She married Fred Hull and the couple had three children, Mark, Tom, and Marilyn and they made their home at Humboldt.  The marriage was later dissolved.  Donna moved to Spencer, Iowa where she was employed by Ryan’s Appliance and Music Store’s.  She then returned to Humboldt to help care for her ailing mother.  She was employed by the Humboldt Newspapers until her retirement.
Donna was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ where she had served as a past deacon.  After loosing her daughter to Reye’s syndrome, Donna was active in support groups for families affected by the disease.  She was also an avid Bridge Player.
