Donna E. Lanus

Donna E Lanus, 73 formerly of Bradgate, passed away on Monday morning, December 10, 2018 at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge.

She was born January 6, 1945 in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Harry and Etta (Davis) Pisel. She was raised and educated in Gilmore City. Donna was united in marriage to Robert L. Lanus on November 9, 1963. The couple made their home on a farm near Bradgate for their entire married life of 52 years. She had a strong Catholic faith and she and Bob were very active in Marriage Encounter. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, swimming, the outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends. She and Bob spent their years together devoted to one another and enjoyed traveling, wintering in Arizona and attending Country Music Festivals.

She is survived by her children, Radar (Deb) Lanus of Gilmore City, Naomi (Joe) Welter of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, Doug (Mary Jo) Lanus of Dakota City, D’Etta (Jason) Lester of Rolfe and Tyson (Jamie) Lanus of Denver, Iowa, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, her brothers, Gary (Barb) Pisel of Sun City, Arizona and Don Pisel of Camanche, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Carly and Zola and half-sisters Edna and Florence.

Visitation will be from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 13th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Humboldt. www.masonlindhart.com
