Dorothy J. Williams, 76 of Lu Verne, passed away Friday morning, November 2, 2018 at the Humboldt Care Center North.
She was born August 2, 1942 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of John G. and Margaret M. (Hardie) Foreman. She grew up in Livermore and graduated from Twin Rivers High School in 1960. Dorothy was united in marriage to Duane M. Williams in August of 1962. The couple made their home in Waverly, then Livermore and Humboldt and in the late 1990’s moved to Lu Verne. She was a woman who was a hard worker and worked hard at providing for her family. She enjoyed knitting slippers, sewing, cooking, baking and collecting angels, however, her passion was her family, especially her great-grandchildren and her puppy, Cuddles.
She is survived by her husband, Duane and her daughters, Marj (John) Bensley of Sac City, Gail (Dave) Maach of Humboldt, Sharon Williams of Boone and Diane Williams of Humboldt, her grandchildren, Jeremy (Amber), Nikki (Josh), J.R., Cameron, Emma and Hunter, her great-grandchildren, Athena, Ava, Averie, Scarlett, Lilli & Liara and her brother, Bill (Gayle) Foreman of Humboldt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Trish, an infant daughter, Melissa, her sister, Virginia and her brother, Thomas.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 6th at Oak Hill Church in Humboldt. Burial will be Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery.
