Donald Douglas Clark, the son of Donald and Vera (Hoffman) Clark, was born January 18, 1947. He was raised and educated at Livermore and graduated from Twin Rivers High School. Following his education, Doug worked as a mechanic and eventually moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to be with his future wife, Jan. The couple returned to Livermore in 1979 where he continued his mechanic work.
Doug was an outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. He was good with his hands not only as a mechanic but also with fixing almost anything and as an engineer and inventor. He enjoyed going to the races, especially sprint cars, dragsters, and NASCAR. In his spare time he liked reading Louis L'Amour books and couldn’t get enough of the NASA channel. He took great pride in his sons and logged thousands of miles following their athletic careers in school and beyond. He loved spending time with his friends and his family, especially his grandchildren.
