Elaine Alice Curran, 75, of Humboldt passed away Sept. 4th, 2010 at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Services for Elaine will be at 10:30 am Tues. Sept. 7 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with Pastor Broughton and Pastor Manz officiating. Interment will be at Indian Mound Cemetery in Humboldt. Visitation will be from 4 pm till 7 pm on Mon. Sept. 6th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home.
Elaine is survived by her husband Wilbur, children; Holly (Glenn) Lyons of Humboldt and Bill (fiancé Pam) , Greeley, CO., seven grandchildren, Amy, Jason, Chad, Chelsie, Jordan, Anna & Ian.; three great grandchildren, Amaya, Luke & Preston. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Vinsand.
Elaine Alice Kleemeier, the daughter of Hank and Alma (Brown) Kleemeier was born Sept. 14th 1934 in her home in Rockwell City. She attended schools in Rockwell City and graduated in 1952 from Rockwell City High School. On Aug. 29th 1954 she was united in marriage to Wilbur Curran and they lived in Rockwell City until May of 1957 when they moved to Humboldt. Elaine owned and operated Country Florals from 1967 until she retired and sold the business in 1993. Elaine also helped Wilbur with his bookkeeping for his Pioneer seed business. She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Elaine also loved to play bridge, watch the grandchildren in their sports and enjoyed all the neighbors of Rainbow Drive. She was always proud of the City of Humboldt and being a resident of the town.
