Frances E. Williams

Frances E. Williams, 97, of Humboldt, passed away March 21, 2012 at the Humboldt Care Center North.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.  Interment will be in I.O.O.F Cemetery, Indianola, Iowa.  Visitation is from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Church.     The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, Howard Williams of Clearwater, Florida; her grandson, Travis (Erica) Williams of Tampa, Florida; and her great grandchildren, Ford and Reed Williams.
Frances Eleanor Clark, the daughter of Leslie and Pearle Clark, was born December 8, 1914 on a farm near Indianola, Iowa.  When Frances was four years old, she moved with her family to Milo where she received her education.  Following her graduation from High School, Frances worked in restaurants in Des Moines and Minneapolis.  She was united in marriage to John Williams in 1945.  In 1947 the couple moved to Humboldt where they owned and operated the Eateria Restaurant until their retirement.  Frances was also employed in Ora’s Dress Shop and Blakestad’s Drug.  Mr. Williams passed away in January of 1979 and Frances continued to make her home at Humboldt.  In November of 2011, she became a resident of the Humboldt Care Center North.  Frances was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church and the Humboldt County Historical Society.
