George Pomeroy

George Pomeroy, 85, of Humboldt passed away on January 7, 2020 at the Humboldt North Care Center.

George was born on April 21, 1934 to George and Goldie (Perrigo) Pomeroy west of Laurens. He attended Laurens school until the 8th grade, he grew up on a farm and lived in the Laurens, Pocahontas and Humboldt area his entire life. George moved to Humboldt in 1981 and worked at Jet-Co for over 40 years. He loved flea markets, garage sales and junk days as he collected many items and always thought that many items were usable after some fixing up. In April of 2018 George moved to the North Care Center due to his failing health.

George is survived by his wife Delores, children Pam (Jim Demers) Bolte, Coleen (Jim) Caskey, Dan (Alice) Pomeroy, Doreen (Alex) Sawyer, David Pomeroy, Heath Pomeroy, Lori Fortner and Terry Lilly, 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and sisters Joyce Brodersen and Gail Marshall.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Dale Pomeroy, sisters Velma Winegarden and Doris Jean Brodale and brother Lee Pomeroy.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 11 at Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of services.
