Georgia is survived by her husband, Wes Gleason and daughter, Sarah Gleason both of Humboldt; her mother, Leona Bomberry of Fort Dodge; and brothers, Tim (Brenda) Bomberry and Larry “Ben” (Connie) Anderson. Her father, George Bomberry, preceded her in death.
Georgia Ann Bomberry, the daughter of George and Esther Leona (Ford) Bomberry, was born January 19, 1952. The family first made their home in California while her father served in the military. They eventually settled in Iowa where Georgia became a Floor Manager for Wal-Mart. She was united in marriage to Wes Gleason on February 28, 1990 and the couple made their home in Thor. Georgia furthered her education and received her Registered Nursing Degree and was employed by Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. In 1997, the family made their home north of Humboldt and Georgia went to work for the Humboldt Care Center North. She retired several years ago due to her health concerns but continued part-time.
Georgia enjoyed shopping, cooking and sharing recipes with her aunts, the outdoors and caring for her flowers. She also enjoyed her pets, which included fish and cats. Above all Georgia was dedicated to her work at the care center.
