Harvey P Jensen, formerly of Humboldt, IA passed away on November 25th, 2009 at Emporia, KS where he resided at Holiday Resort. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Visitation will be from, 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Harvey is survived by son Stephen and his wife Myrna of Emporia, KS, son-in-law Robert Buchan of Mesa, Az., five grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, and 10 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, sisters, Mrs. John Moore (Edna), Helen Maginnis, and Marion Jensen all of Fort Dodge, IA and many nieces and nephews.
Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Wynona, daughter, Linda Buchan, and brothers, Elmer, Leonard, and Edwin.
Harvey was born to Jens and Sena Jensen on March 14th, 1919 on a farm near Livermore, IA and later moved with his family to a farm at Gilmore City, IA. He married Wynona Granseth and farmed his family farm and the Granseth family farm. Harvey and Wynona moved to Humboldt, IA in the late 70's and he continued to farm both family farm's until his retirement in 2001 at the age of 82.
Harvey's loves were farming, family and restoring tractors. Anyone who knew Harvey knows that probably his biggest love was "coffey"!!
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the youth activities of Ours Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
