Ines L. Hanson, 82, of Humboldt, formerly of Bode, passed away December 23, 2013 at the Long Term Care Unit of the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.   Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church near Rutland.  Interment will be in East Ullensvang Cemetery, Thor.  Visitation with the family will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.

Mrs. Hanson is survived by her children, David (Anne) Hanson of Kyle, TX, Jim (Omm) Hanson of West Union; and Sue (Jim) Jennings of Humboldt; grandchildren, Sonya, Heath, Erika, Hillary, Michael, and Gretchen; 5 great grandchildren; her brother, Melvin (Jean) Lehman of Eagle Grove; and her sister, Lois (Dale) Kraft of Corwith.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; daughter, Diane; granddaughter, Melanie; and infant brother, John.

Ines Louise Lehman, the daughter of Erwin and Frieda (Licht) Lehman, was born March 20, 1931 on a farm in Humboldt County.  She was baptized on April 19, 1931 and confirmed May 28, 1944 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Beaver Township.  She attended rural schools in the area and graduated from Eagle Grove High School.  She was united in marriage to John R. Hanson on November 28, 1948.  Ines worked as a dietician at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital for ten years.  She loved gardening, flowers, cooking, baking, collecting cookbooks, watching her soap operas.  Most of all, she took great pride and pleasure from her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a long time member of the Rutland Trinity Lutheran Church where she held many offices including, Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent and President and Vice President of the W.E.L.C.A.
