Irene L. Thilges, 94 formerly of rural Livermore, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at the Long-Term Care Unit of the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 15, 1925 in Bryan County, Oklahoma the daughter of Joseph and Lena (Krebs) Mosser. She grew up on a farm in Oklahoma and graduated from Blue High School. She then went on to attend Dranghons Business College. She was united in marriage to Charles W. Thilges on November 25, 1947. The couple made their home on their farm north of Livermore. Irene especially enjoyed her family and grandchildren, quilting, flowers, gardening and her dogs. She was an active member of both Sacred Heart and St. Mary Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children Harlan (Joan) Thilges of Mabel, Minnesota, David (Raejean) Thilges of Clear Lake, Kevin (Judy Nilles) Thilges of Dakota City, Terry (Kari) Thilges of Livermore, Colleen (David) Holst of Clare, Steve (Shelli) Thilges and Deanna Thilges both of Humboldt, 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, two children Delbert and Larry Dean and five brothers Mike Hofer, David, Edward, Harold and Emmanuel Mosser and her daughter-in-law, Gwen Thilges.
Graveside Services will be available online at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home Facebook page after 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14th. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, St. Joe.
