Ivan F. Henrichs

Ivan F. Henrichs, 82, of Pioneer passed away on Friday evening, May 28, 2021, at the Paula Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.

He was born August 23, 1938 in Fort Dodge, the son of Fredrick and Evelyn (Walters) Henrichs. He was raised and educated in Pioneer. On May 28, 1966, he was united in marriage to Jo Anne Schultz in Bradgate. The couple made their home in Pioneer and Ivan worked for the Pioneer Elevator, later Midwest Limestone, then Schultz Construction. In the late 1970’s he started a salvage business. Ivan was a lifelong Pioneer resident and was the mayor for more than ten years. He loved mowing and being outdoors.

He is survived by his wife Jo, daughter Jeni Read (Dan) of Fort Dodge, son John Henrichs of Pioneer, his grandchildren Joshua (Reba), Kaylie (Jace), Natalie and Emily, his great-grandson Ivan and his beloved grand-dog Toby James. He was preceded in death by his son James and sister Margaret Ann.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with visitation starting at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 4th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. www.masonlindhart.com
