Jeani Marie Vought, 64, of Rutland, passed away March 1, 2012 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 5 at the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Interment will be in Indian Mound Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation is from 4- 6 p.m. Sunday, (today) at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Jeani is survived by her husband, James Vought; mother, Norma Ehrhardt; daughters, Tracy Spurlock and Bobbi Klute; step-son Michael Vought; sisters, Judy Turbyville and Janice Limerick; brother, Jerry Ehrhardt; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her father Ed (Fuzz) Ehrhardt and sister Jill Lens.
Jeani grew up in the Humboldt area graduating from Humboldt High School. While in Iowa she spent many hours working with horses. She moved to Texas but decided in 1997 to return to Iowa. She was united in marriage to Jim Vought on Dec. 10, 2003 and they made their home in Rutland. She enjoyed gardening and did some canning of fresh vegetables. Jeani & James loved to get in a classic car and take it to a car show when available. She always had some country music playing and watched the Dallas Cowboy’s and Texas Ranger’s as much as possible.
