Jordan Robinson, 16, of Humboldt, passed away September 7, 2008 at Lakes Regional Medical Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Funeral services will be Friday, September 12, 2008 at 1:38 p.m. at the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation with the family will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home.
Jordan is survived by his mom and dad, Rodney and Candy Robinson; brothers and sisters, Marnetta (Reuben) Fisher of Spirit Lake, Rodney (Ashley) Robinson II of Humboldt, Jimmy (Stephanie) Robinson of Humboldt, Michael Robinson and Paul Robinson; special foster sister, Heidi (Brant) Peterson of Spirit Lake; nieces Brooklyn Robinson, Gabriella Fisher, and Kennedy Robinson; nephew, Rodney Robinson III; and grandmother, Phyllis Dunn of Lake Park. His grandparents, Howard Dunn and Loren and Beverly Robinson, preceded him in death.
Jordan Robinson, the son of Rodney and Candy (Dunn) Robinson, was born October 3, 1991 at Algona, Iowa. Following his birth, Jordan made his home with his biological mother, grandparents, and in foster homes until the age of three when he came to live with the Robinson’s. The Robinson’s became his loving parents on December 12, 1997 with the completion of his adoption in time for Christmas. Jordan began his education at Mease Elementary School. He then attended Taft Elementary, Humboldt Middle School and has just begun his junior year at Humboldt High School.
Jordan was proud to be known as an awesome uncle and enjoyed bragging about his nieces and nephews. He loved spending time with the family at thier cabin at Okoboji, fishing, and serving as captain of the family’s pontoon boat. He also enjoyed camping, video games, mowing lawns, taking things apart, and being the little brother. He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church where he served as an acolyte, greeter, and usher.
