Funeral services for J.R. Boge, 35, of Humboldt will be 11 a.m. Monday at Our Saviours Lutheran Church, Humboldt, with the Rev. Matthew Manz officiating. Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Mr. Boge is survived by his wife, Cindy of Humboldt; sons, Cody and Cole of Humboldt; daughter, Sierra of Humboldt; mother, Jenny Boge of Humboldt; sister, Nicki (Scott) Messerly of Fort Dodge; half-brother Todd Bird; grandmother Rosemary Boge of Dayton; in-laws, Randy (Diane) Trenary of Humboldt; sister-in-law Alecia (Jeremy) Tinken of Rutland; nieces and nephews, Trey, Taylor, Hannah, and Rylin Messerly and Lylah and Fiona Tinken; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert.
J.R. Boge, the son of Robert and Jenny (McVay) Boge, was born November 28, 1974 in Humboldt. The Boge family made their home in the Humboldt area and J.R. received his education in Humboldt. After high school J.R. began working. He worked at several businesses in Humboldt and was most recently employed at Hog Slats, where he drove truck. On June 10, 2000 he was united in marriage to Cindy Trenary and the two made their home in Humboldt.
The Boge’s were members of Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Humboldt. J.R enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, and attending garage sales. He was a generous and outgoing man and loved spending time with his family, attending his kid’s activities and working in the garage with his dad while growing up. He was also an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings.
