Judy A. Guy

Judy A. Guy, 65, of Renwick, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Judy was born February 20, 1960 in Hayfield, Minnesota the daughter of Joseph E. and Eleanor A. (Swidder) Guy. Judy grew up in Lu Verne where she reared and educated, graduating from Lu Verne High School. Following high school, she made her home in Lu Verne and tended bar for her mother at Grandma’s Place. She worked at the tavern and cleaned area homes for a number of years. She met Chuck Sorenson and the couple made their home in the Lu Verne area, moving to Renwick in 2013. Living in Renwick, Judy worked as the manager of Fastway until retiring in 2023. She enjoyed fishing, vacationing at Lake Pepin and embroidery.

Judy is survived by her husband Charles “Chuck” Sorenson of Renwick, her sister Robin Guy of Lu Verne, her brother Brian Guy of Fort Dodge and her nephews, Nathan and Dillon. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Scott and Dennis and her father-in-law, Richard Sorenson.
