Laura J. Braby, 89, of Humboldt, passed away February 10, 2011 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are pending and are being planned for a later date.
Mrs. Braby is survived by her children, Larry (Jean) Braby of Pocahontas, Sharon (Jay) Lindquist of Humboldt, James (Laury) Braby of Troy, OH, and Colleen (Tony) Radebaugh of Rippey, IA; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; son, Mike; and sister, Roberta Sharp.
Laura J. Eisler, the daughter of Fred and Clara (Ernst) Eisler, was born May 1, 1921 on the family farm in Beaver Township, Humboldt County. She received her education in Beaver Township and graduated from Humboldt High School. She was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Braby and the couple made their home at Rutland. In 1954, the family moved to Humboldt where Laura represented Avon for many years. Kenneth passed away in 1979 and Laura continued to maintain her home in Humboldt.
Mrs. Braby was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church where she was active in UMW and taught Sunday School for many years. Laura enjoyed sewing and kept a large garden where she enjoyed raising vegetables and flowers. Her children will always remember her as a good mom.
