Linda G. Larsen, 73, of Humboldt, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt with the Rev. Alberta Ervin officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation with the family is from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Linda Grace Ham, the daughter of Eldon and Thelma (Cran) Ham, was born July 21, 1943 on a farm between Rolfe and Bradgate. She attended Gilmore City/Bradgate Schools and graduated in 1961. On September 16, 1961, she was united in marriage to Gaylen V. Larsen. Linda worked as a bookkeeper for the Farmers COOP Elevators in Bradgate and Rolfe. The couple made their home at Bradgate where the raised their four children.
Linda later served as a bookkeeper for Sande Construction, worked for Hadar Manufacturing, and worked as a compliancy auditor for Smithway Trucking.
Mr. Larsen passed away in May of 2008 and in 2010, Linda moved to Humboldt. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church. She loved to quilt, making many quilts for her children and grandchildren and entering quilting shows. She also enjoyed traveling, sewing, gardening, and canning.
Linda is survived by her children, Barb (Pedro) Zepeda of Garden City, Kansas, Larry (Brandi) Larsen of Vincent, Roger Larsen of Huxley, and Daryl (Susan) Larsen of Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Casey Zepeda, Elizabeth Larsen, Alex Larsen, Jacob Larsen, Peyton Larsen, Taylor Larsen, McKenzie Larsen, Hanna Larsen, Jacob Larsen, and Caleb Larsen; great-grandchildren, Aeris and Sloane; brother, George (Alice) Ham of Manhattan, KS; and sisters, Carol (Butch) McFarlin of Des Moines and Sue (Russ) Hitchcock of Spencer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gaylen; and brother, Tom Ham.
