Lisa D. Kirkpatrick, 50, of Humboldt, passed away April 8, 2015 at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Mark of Humboldt; her children, Trent (Katie) Kirkpatrick if Des Moines, Thomas Kirkpatrick of Humboldt, and Jenna Kirkpatrick of Ames; her brothers and sisters, Mark (Elaine) Schultz of Humboldt, Ann Almond of Humboldt, Ruth Erickson of Humboldt, Dennis Schultz of Denver, CO, Terese Granahan of Humboldt, Martin Schultz of Humboldt, and Amy (Tom) Hoopingarner of Pocahontas; and brother-in-law, Steve Gray of Floyd. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Matthew Schultz; and sister, M. Ellen Gray.
Lisa Dean Schultz, the daughter of Dale “Gus” and Mathia (Nilles) Schultz, was born October 25, 1964 at Humboldt, Iowa. She was raised and educated at Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School with the class of 1983. Lisa began her working career at the Humboldt Country Club. She was united in marriage to Mark Kirkpatrick in 1985 and the couple made their home in Humboldt. Lisa stayed busy as a homemaker raising her three children before going to work for Casey’s in Dakota City. As an animal lover, she enjoyed her employment at Ericsson's Kennel and most recently held a position in the receiving department of Hog Slat until her death.
Lisa was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling. She loved the ocean and the “girl trips” she took with friends. She enjoyed jewelry, scrapbooking, and crafts. She especially loved being at home and with her family who will greatly miss her.
