Lola L. Carlson, 93 of Humboldt, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020 at the Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.
She was born November 12, 1926 in Renwick, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Lily (DeWitt) Mimbach. She was raised in Renwick and on March 26, 1948 was united in marriage to R. Wesley Carlson. The couple made their home in the Humboldt area and Lola raised her children here. She was a very outdoors lady, loved to bake and sew, loved the Hawkeyes and singing. She was a great harmonizer and spent many years at the cabin in Lake Ida in Alexandria, Minnesota.
She is survived by her children, Terry (Pert) Carlson of Laguna Woods, California, Tom (Tina) Carlson of Silver Cliff, Wisconsin and Todd Carlson of Waukee, 9 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Bryan, Mandy, Ashley, Emily, Katie, Jann, Erin & Matt and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband R. Wesley, her son, Tim, daughter, Lynne, sisters, Beryl Walson and CleoBell Heiple-Tire and her brother, DeWitt Mimbach.
Visitation will be from 10:00 until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Service on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral and Cremation Service in Humboldt. Burial will be in Vernon Township Cemetery. www.masonlindhart.com
