Loretta A. Ramaeker, 80, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Livermore, passed away August 14, 2014 at her home in Tucson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Humboldt with Fr. James Tigges officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation with the family is from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home is serving the Ramaekers.
Loretta is survived by her children, Craig Ramaeker of Tucson, AZ, Joseph (Valarie) Ramaeker of Phoenix, AZ, Mark Ramaeker of Tucson, and Michael (Janice) Ramaeker of Menomonie, WI; grandchildren, Joey, Shannon, Benjamin and Alison; great grandchildren, Christopher and Izabella; brothers, Leo Boyle and Robert Boyle, both of Tucson, AZ; and sister, Rita Tonkinson of Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul; son Jeff; and an infant child.
Loretta Ann Boyle, the daughter of John “Bud” and Helena (Feeney) Boyle, was born October 20, 1933 at Livermore, Iowa. She received her education at St. Angela Academy at Carroll, Iowa and Graduated from Jefferson High School in 1951. On June 4, 1951, she was united in marriage to Paul Edward Ramaeker. She made her home with her parents while Paul served in the Army during the Korean War and when he returned the couple made their home at Livermore.
In August of 1961, the family was involved in an automobile accident that claimed the lives of Mr. Ramaeker, their son, Jeffrey, and their unborn child. Following their recovery, Loretta, Craig, Joe, Mark, and Michael moved to Tucson.
Loretta was a member of St. Francis Cabrini and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Churches in Tucson. She loved classical music, the piano, and a good story with friends and family.
