Lucas C. Ham, 38, of Rolfe, Passed away January 6, 2016 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Gilmore City with the Rev. Alberta Ervin officiating. Burial will be on Old Rolfe Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Lucas is survived by his wife, Holly Norman Ham of Rolfe; his mother, Joni Ham and her fiancé, John Olson of Otho; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Marla Norman of Rutland; sisters-in-law, Lisa (Mike Kirby) Norman and Rebecca (Dave) Morris; brothers-in-law, Chad (Tammi) Norman and Kyle Norman; his niece and nephews, Everett, Emmit, and Ellie Norman and Reese and Samuel Morris; as well as his numerous cousins and other relatives. His father, Tom Ham, preceded him in death.
Lucas Charles Ham, the son of Tom and Joni (Wiseman) Ham, was born April 13, 1977 at Humboldt, Iowa. His parents brought him home to Rolfe where he attended school. Following his education, Lucas attended diesel mechanics school at Northwest Iowa Community College and earned his CDL from Iowa Central Community College. Lucas began his trucking career with White Transfer and Storage. On December 17, 2005, he was united in marriage to Holly Norman at the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt and the couple made their home at Rolfe. He continued his trucking career with various companies driving coast to coast. Most recently, he enjoyed his work hauling milk for Tukker and Dutch Land Dairies.
Lucas enjoyed food and shared his adventurous cooking with his friends and family. He loved his “toys” and especially enjoyed tractor rides.
