Lucille M. Weydert, 83, of Gilmore City, passed away at her home on Thursday evening, February 21, 2019 with her family by her side.
She was born June 20, 1935 in Bode, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Marie (Jensen) Christensen. She grew up in Rutland and attended Rutland Schools. She was baptized and confirmed in the Rutland Trinity Lutheran Church. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1954. Lucille was united in marriage to Donald D. Weydert on June 12, 1965. The couple made their home east of Livermore and then later Gilmore City. She enjoyed golf, music, candy, her friends and family. She always said she had the most beautiful marriage and five of the most wonderful children in the world and they felt that same way about their mother.
She is survived by her husband, Donald of Gilmore City, her children, Rachel (Dan Williams) Weydert of Gilmore City, Michael (Diane) Weydert of Badger, Maria Weydert of Fort Dodge, Nicholas (ReBecka) Weydert and John (Christina) Weydert both of Gilmore City, her grandchildren, Taylor (Will) Clough, Morgan, Joe, Claire, Sophie, Nick, Kiera and Kacen Lewis, Emma, Avery and Addison Tucker, her great grandchild, Jade Clough.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Humboldt. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
