Marie Baade, 91 of Humboldt, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the North Care Center in Humboldt.
Marie M. DeWall was born January 6, 1929 in Rolfe the daughter of George and Hanna (Gerdes) DeWall. Marie graduated from Rolfe High School. On the 5th day of October 1946, she was united in marriage to Henry E. Baade. Henry (Hank) passed away in 1986. She was an active member of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Rolfe and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to read and enjoyed attending her children’s activities. After moving from Rolfe to Humboldt, she continued to follow her grandchildren’s school activities.
She is survived by her daughters Joyce (David) Coburn of Liverpool, New York, Sue (David) Hundertmark of Rutland, son-in-law David Pedersen of Scotts Valley, California, daughter-in-law Kitty Baade of West Des Moines, 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and her brother LeRoy (Pat) DeWall of Caledonia, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Karen Pedersen, son David Baade, great-granddaughter Bria Marie Bland, a sister Jeanette Sweeney and four brothers Harris, Elvern, Richard and Marlyn DeWall.
At Marie’s request and due to Covid no public visitation or service is planned. Family burial will take place at Clinton Garfield Cemetery in Rolfe. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service of Humboldt is in charge of the arrangements.
