Marie Triplett

Marie Triplett, 101, died Tuesday July 31, 2012 at Bishop Drumm Care Center in Johnston.  A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on August 8 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Humboldt, IA.  Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday with a rosary at 4 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Humboldt.

Marie was born March 11, 1911 at Pomeroy, IA to Joseph Baker and Mary (Hammen) Baker.  She graduated from Pomeroy High School in 1928.   In 1934 she married James Triplett and they farmed many years in Calhoun and Pocahontas counties.

Marie is survived by five sons, Joe Triplett (Josephine) Washington, IA, Tom (Marcella), Montrose, CO, Larry (Milly) Salina, KS, Jim (Zola) Sand Springs, OK, Dick (Margarida) Oceanside, CA, Daughter-in-law Jeanne Triplett, Littleton, CO and one daughter Luann Overton (Don) St. Charles, IA, one brother, Maurice Baker, San Jose, CA, many grandchildren,
and great-great grandchildren.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Michael Triplett, infant daughter Mary Genevieve, four brothers and two sisters.
