Marilyn C. Klein, 80, of Humboldt, formerly of Livermore, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Fort Dodge Health & Rehabilitation Center in Fort Dodge.
Marilyn was born December 11, 1943 in Livermore, the daughter of Nick J. and Mary (Hilbert) Klein. She was raised and educated in the Livermore area attending Livermore Public Schools. She lived with her parents for many years taking care of the family farm. She loved her cats, dogs and especially her kittens. In 1990, Marilyn moved to Humboldt and became involved in Lifeworks where she worked at various businesses in the community. She was extremely proud of her independence and making a home of her own. She enjoyed crafting, country music and attending country western concerts.
Marilyn is survived by her sisters; Yvonne Awe of Fenton, Alice Stalzer of Humboldt, Marlene Albus of Waterloo, Jean Nelson of Humboldt, Leverna (Roy) Sturm of Belmond and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Edwin & Allen Klein, her sister Mary Evelyn Kellner, brother’s-in-law; Lawrence Kellner, Perry Smith, Richard L. Coleman, William Brighi, Harry Stalzer, Jim Albus, Don Nelson and her sister-in-law Virginia Klein.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Humboldt. Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Livermore. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service of Humboldt is in charge of the arrangements.
