Marvin J Sorensen

On Saturday August 10, 2019 Marvin J. Sorensen, 83, went home to be with the lord. Born September 12, 1935 the middle son of Alise and Minnie (Gilliland) Sorensen.
Marv was very active in high school athletics, participating in football, track, and basketball, and excelling in the three sports. He was united in marriage to Georgia (Watts) June 9, 1953. They made their home in several places in the Humboldt area. Marv worked in his Radiator shop, hauled canned milk eventually ending up in law enforcement retiring after 20 plus years.
He is survived by his loving faithful wife, Georgia of over 66 years; sons Steve Sorensen, Jeff (Kerin) Sorensen, Curt (Deb) Sorensen; daughter Vickie Sorensen; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and brothers Alise Sorensen, and David (Shari) Sorensen.
Marv was proceeded in death by his parents, daughters Kathryn and Annette, and grandson Jeremy.
Funeral services will be held at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt on Wednesday, August 14 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
