Mary Elizabeth (Hawkins) Boge, age 65 of Red Boiling Springs, TN (formerly of Humboldt) passed away at her home Tuesday December 4, 2012 following a lengthy illness. In accordance with her wishes, Mary was cremated at Alexander Funeral Home in Gallatin, Tennessee. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt in the Spring, with details to be announced at a later date.
Mary was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on September 2, 1947 to the late Glen and Frances (Rafferty) Hawkins. She grew up on her family farm near Hardy and attended and graduated from Twin Rivers school district. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Boge of Humboldt on November 12, 1966, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt. The couple made their home in Belvidere, Illinois until moving to Humboldt in 1974. They remained in Humboldt until moving to Westmoreland, Tennessee in 1991 and then to Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee in 2000.
Although Mary held several jobs throughout the years, her real love was being a wife, mother, and homemaker. In addition, she always had a great love of music and enjoyed many hobbies, especially baking, and crafting.
She is survived by her husband LeRoy Boge of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, a son Jeffrey Boge also of Red Boiling Springs, a daughter Shelli Boge of Allen, Texas, and a sister Lori (Hawkins) Studer of Clarion, Iowa. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
