Mary Louise Carlson

Mary Louise Carlson, 91, of Humboldt, passed away January 19, 2017 at the Long Term Care Unit of the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. She was born May 17, 1925 at Shenandoah, Iowa, the daughter of Wayne and Maye Thompson. She grew up in the Red Oak, Iowa area. Following her high school graduation, Mary Louise served as a long distance operator for Bell Telephone in Louisiana and Iowa.
She married Earl Carlson on October 14, 1945 in Topeka, Kansas. In 1946, they moved to a farm in Grove Township, Humboldt County.
She is survived by three sons, Timothy Carlson of Humboldt, Randall Carlson of Ames, and Curtis Carlson of Humboldt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; infant daughter, Pricilla; son, Philip; her parents; and her sister, Phyllis.
