Merle Larson, 89, of Humboldt, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Humboldt Care Center North.
Merle was born on March 5, 1931, the son of Lawrence and Gertrude (Romer) Larson. He left school at an early age to help support his family. He worked for Chantland Manufacturing Company as a design drafts man later becoming a manager of the pulley department and retiring in early 1990. He enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and rock climbing. He especially enjoyed his time with his family.
He is survived by his children Paul (Sue) Larson of Humboldt, Roger (Julie) Larson of Silverdale, WA and Mark Larson of Newton, his grandchildren, Noah (Amie), Kelsey (Clint Blomker), Haley, Ryan (Ashley), Jamie, Kassidy (Kevin Roney), step-grandchildren Brooke, Ryan (Madison) and Lisa (Wade Satern), great-grandchildren Isaac, Vera, Aria, Azik, Olyvia, Madelyn and Morgan and brother Leroy (Janet) Larson of Custer, SD. He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, brothers Lawrence Jr., Gene Larson, and Leonard Larson, and sister Alice Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home, a visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of services at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Blossom Hill Cemetery east of Badger.
