Nancy A. Suttie

Nancy A. Suttie, 67, of Humboldt, Iowa passed away on August 23, 2024 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital after battling cancer.

Nancy was born July 16, 1957 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Donald P. and Helen J. (Mumert) Suttie. She attended school in Sioux City and enjoyed playing outdoor sports. She especially loved the family’s pet dogs. Nancy moved to Humboldt in 1985 where she was employed at the Humboldt Workshop until her retirement. Nancy was an avid sports fan. Her favorite teams were the Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs, Iowa State Cyclones, and locally, the Humboldt Wildcats. Nancy faced many challenges during her life and successfully overcame them. She was an independent and strong woman and was well known in the community and easily recognizable driving her Honda scooter around town. 

Nancy is survived by her mother, Helen Suttie of Sioux City, her brother, Donald J. (Frances) Suttie of Wasilla, Alaska, her sisters, Susan H. (Sam Cross) Ryan of Park Rapids, Minnesota and Carole L. (Damon) Sierk of Sioux City; nieces Yvonne, Cristin and Jamie and nephews John and Corey. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald. 

Family graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt is in charge of the arrangements. www.masonlindhart.com
