Patricia L. Redenius, 69, of Bradgate, passed away May 28, 2010 at Council Bluffs. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Gilmore City. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Max Redenius of Bradgate; her sons, Ted (Kristen) Redenius of Urbandale and their children, Ally and Evan, and Steve Redenius of Martensdale and his children, Taylor and Kaylee; and her brother, Jerry (Patricia) Taylor of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Patricia Louise Taylor, the daughter of Merle and Ruth (Young) Taylor, was born November 5, 1940 at Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was raised on a farm near Bradgate and attended Bradgate School. She graduated from Bode High School then attended Morningside College in Sioux City. She was united in marriage to Max Redenius on August 9, 1961. The couple made their home at Bode for a short time before moving to the family farm near Bradgate. They made their home there the rest of their married lives.
Patricia was good help for Max on the farm and for many years, Patricia was known for her skill for baking wedding cakes and she enjoyed craft painting. Patricia also made a successful career with the Mary Kay Company for over 27 years. With Mary Kay, she enjoyed the many wonderful people she got to know and the travels she was able to make throughout those years. Above all, she enjoyed her grandchildren who will miss her very much.
