Phyllis Nelson

Phyllis L. Nelson, 86, of Humboldt, passed away March 1, 2017 at the North Care Center in Humboldt. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Humboldt. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Phyllis L. Hellickson, the daughter of Frank and Bernice (Buckingham) Hellickson, was born Jan. 11, 1931. She graduated from Humboldt High School. Phyllis was united in marriage to Kenneth Nelson on June 30, 1953 at the Congregational UCC church in Humboldt. Ken and Phyllis lived on her home place for many years before they moved into Humboldt. Her love was being a farm wife and helping on the farm doing whatever needed to be done. She loved to ride her pony and also go for rides in the pony cart. Ken and Phyllis vacationed in Hawaii many times and that was her dream place to go. Phyllis loved to visit family and friends and will be missed by many.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Kenneth. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Donald, who passed away at an early age.
